Dear Property Owner/Resident/Business:

The City of Plano previously sent letters to residents and businesses on January 5, 2005 regarding construction of the subject project. The project will consist of the pavement widening and reconstruction of Parker Road from just west of K Avenue to just east of Raton Lane to provide three (3) through lanes of traffic in each direction. The enclosed map shows the project location.

The project has now been bid and a construction contract awarded by the City Council on April 23, 2007 to Ed Bell Construction Company, in the amount of $3,659,000.00. The contractor will be issued a Notice to Proceed on June 11, 2007. We are scheduling a Neighborhood Meeting for the owners/residents/businesses on the project for June 14, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Building Inspection Training Room, Municipal Center, 1520 K Avenue. City staff will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.

Property on the south side of Parker Road between N Avenue and P Avenue, will require driveway removal and replacement with this project. If the driveway replacement requires work on private property (beyond the exsiting right of way line), a "RIGHT OF ENTRY" is needed. Some of the properties within these limits require this. If your property is one of those, you should have received another letter dated October 4, 2006 regarding the proposed driveway work and with a form entitled "RIGHT OF ENTRY" attached. If you are the property owner, you need to sign this form. This will give the City of Plano permission to remove and replace a portion of your driveway to provide a smooth connection to the new street paving. Property with driveway replacement not requiring work on private property will not need to have a form signed.
