CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
Minutes
of the General Meeting held April 10, 2003
The meeting was
called to order by Craig Jacobs at 7:10. There were between and 6 and 9 people
present. We first heard our guest
Shep Stahl discuss the proposed actions the city council and planning and zoning
are looking at for the property around Avenue K from downtown to Parker Rd.
He also talked about the improvements to Shawnee Park and Oak Point .
We then had a reading
and correcting of the minutes for the previous meeting which were then approved.
Next both Roxanne Luna
and Scott Lussier from property standards were introduced.
Roxanne told us about ongoing problems and solutions for our neighborhood
and the changes in personnel. Scott Lussier is our new Property Standards
Specialist for this area. The ongoing problems about grocery carts were also discussed.
Officer Nors then
passed out the crime watch neighborhood statistics which were checked for the
previous month. Ongoing efforts including to clean-up the area including Keep
Plano Beautiful were mentioned.
The need to have a
position statement about the Avenue K corridor and a survey of residents about
it was talked about as was the first planning meeting for National Night Out to
be held the next Wednesday.
We are to have a
review of our 5 year plan at the next meeting on May 8th.
We will also have a
gardening demonstration on site by Mrs. Stahl in our neighborhood before our
next meeting.
The meeting was then
adjourned.
