VILLAGE
CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
Minutes
of the General Meeting held May 8, 2003
The meeting was called
to order by Craig Jacobs at 7:06. There were 10 people present. There was the
approval of the agenda and the reading and approval of the secretary and
treasurer report by Vicki Verinder. The
account holds $592.41 and there will be an accounting at the next meeting as to
how much of that belongs to NNO for use on August 5th.
The crime watch report was
given by Officer Nors. Following
her report we discussed at great length some problems about crime in Village
North and actions being taken and well as actions to be taken.
The gardening tips given by
JoAnn Stahl and the follow-up plans for the houses on Tarkio were discussed as
well as ideas about a pocket park with sprinklers and a bench for those waiting
for a bus near Barron. We should be able to write a proposal and send it to the
city for some funds and help in getting it established.
The association discussed a
recommendation to the city council that no apartments be built along the
Ave K corridor. This recommendation was voted on and approved.
The 5 year plan review will
be discussed at the next meeting and a new plan needs to be drafted.
Our web site and adding
materials to it was addressed by Doug Jacobs.
May 17th was to
be a cleaning up of Schell Park by community service people and a house painting
by members of Wyatt North and Sunshine Rotary in late May or early June.
The meeting adjourned around
9:45 PM.
