NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
Minutes of the General Meeting held November 11, 2004
The meeting was called to order by President Craig Jacobs at 7:05 pm in the Building Inspection Conference Room, City Hall, Plano, Texas. There were 8 members in attendance.
Secretary/Treasurer Vicki Verinder gave the minutes of the October 14th, 2004, meeting were approved. She also gave the treasurer's report. The account has $605.69 with no outstanding expenses.
The purpose of the meeting was a planning session for 2005 activities. The following summarizes those meetings and events that were discussed.
January: Meeting 1/13 invite property standards to give a 30 min. presentation
Activity: Newsletter articles deadline: 1/31
Activity: mail donation request feelers to various stores, professional sports teams and the Plano City Council for National Night Out door prizes
February: Meeting 2/10 brain storming on traffic problems including Parker widening
Activity: Publish and distribute newsletter
March: Meeting 3/10 invite Traffic Department to discuss last months ideas and an update on Parker widening & brain storming on park improvements
Activity: Spring planting project, curb appeal project
Activity: Look into alley numbering project for Eagle Scouts to do (note: permissions of property owners have to be in writing and might be included in the Feb. newsletter)
April: Meeting 4/14 invite Parks & Recreation to discuss park improvement ideas from last month
Activity: Great American Cleanup 4/2
May: Meeting 5/12 Officer Nors presentation on identity theft

Officer Nors then distributed neighborhood crime statistics, which were discussed.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:10 pm.
