Minutes of the
General Meeting held April 14, 2005
The meeting was called to order by
President Craig Jacobs at 7:10 pm in the Building Inspection Conference Room,
City Hall,
The agenda was distributed, discussed and
approved. Secretary/Treasurer Vicki
Verinder noted that the last meeting (March 10, 2005) did not achieve a quorum
so no business was transacted. She also gave
the treasurer's report. The account has
$605.69 with no outstanding expenses.
Old
Business:
Vice President James Edwards told the
group that he was trying to locate the old Wyatt North Neighbors Association
bank account and was working to have the account closed and the funds
transferred to our account.
James also related that the Great
American Cleanup went very well. Around
80 kids and 15 Rotary Club members showed up and cleaned streets, alleys, the
railroad tracks, park areas and the water trench next to the bowling
alley. He said the Rotary Club is
looking for projects (house painting, repairs, etc.) in our area and to contact
him if we knew of anyone that needed those services. Craig will email the Rotary and

Business:
A suggestion was made to put the program
title on our meeting signs for advertisement.
Also, it was noted that the Bulk Trash pickup is the 4th week
each month and that signs should be up no earlier than Sundays and taken down
on Tuesdays of that week.
The following programs
for our regular monthly meetings was approved:
May
12: Identity theft.
June
9: Brainstorm ideas to present to the traffic department for next month’s
meeting.
July
14: Invite traffic department representative to discuss our concerns and ideas.
Also, newsletter articles covering
National Night Out and annual elections are due.
August
2: National Night Out – no meeting.
Craig will secure the pavilion at
September
8: Elections and brainstorm ideas to present to parks department for next
month’s meeting.
October
13: Invite parks department representative to discuss our concerns and ideas.
November
10: Review 2005 activities and do preliminary plans for 2006. Also, newsletter articles due.
December:
No meeting (holidays).
We discussed the following projects
to be done during 2005:
1.
Numbering the alley fences as required by city statute. James will see if the city could find the
project with grant money. We also
discussed getting the Scouts and John Peyton’s people involved.

Backfill areas of

Curb Appeal project for Make a Difference Day

A second curb appeal project
Officer Nors has been promoted to
Sergeant and is no longer our NPO. The
police department will assign another officer to our area soon. No crime report was given.
Craig will also check on the reservation
of our meeting room and signs pointing it out to attendees.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.
