VILLAGE CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

Minutes of the General Meeting held July 14, 2005

The meeting was called to order by President Craig Jacobs at 7:10 pm in the Building Inspection Conference Room, City Hall, Plano, Texas. There were 5 members in attendance.

The agenda was distributed and discussed. A traffic update item was added to old business and the agenda was approved.

Vicki Verinder read the minutes of the last meeting, which were approved. She also gave the treasury report: the account balance is $605.69 and there was no activity.

Gene Verinder presented an update to traffic questions from previous meetings. The U-turn sign at Bush service road and Alma is under the control of Plano Street Department, not NTTA. TXDOT responded that striping along Central service roads will be done beginning in August. When completed, Barron school will have 3 entrances, which should reduce traffic during student drop off and pickup.

We brainstormed over several additional issues from the Parker Road widening plans presented last month.

We then finalized our plans for National Night Out, to be held at Shawnee Park pavilion, August 2 from 6-8pm. A newsletter will be distributed to the neighborhood – English on one side, Spanish on the other. Craig will run the copies. We then made assignments for supplies, food and drinks. A final contact to the owners of the Bounce House will be made a week before the gathering.

Our NPO has been identified to replace Alicia but cannot be assigned until a replacement for that position is found.

No crime watch was presented as there was no representation.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:14pm.
