VILLAGE CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

Minutes of the General Meeting held October 13, 2005

The meeting was called to order by President Craig Jacobs at 7:02 pm in the Building Inspection Conference Room, City Hall, Plano, Texas. There were 8 members in attendance.

The agenda was distributed and discussed. 2 items were added then the agenda was approved.

Vicki Verinder read the minutes of the last meeting, which were approved. She also gave the treasury report: the account balance is $605.69 and there was no activity.

No crime report was presented as our NPO and Crime Watch Chair was not in attendance. Derrick Tse complemented the police for a quick response (3 min.) to a call he made about a loiter in Shawnee Park.

The following road construction projects were discussed:

Entrance ramp changes on Central – begins in November.

Parker Road widening – begins in Spring 2006 and will last 1 year. The city will attempt to keep at least 2 lanes open at all times.

Central – Parker Road interchange modifications – begins in 2007 and will last 2 years.

We discussed 2 curb appeal projects, one on Felix and the other on Lucas. Jan Thatcher will co-sponsor these with James Edwards. The assistance of George Elkins (Sunshine Rotary) and Judge John Peyton will be solicited. The dates will be at set by George.

The following items for the November agenda was discussed: a preliminary planning session for 2006 and an introduction to our new NPO.

The next newsletter will be produced in the first quarter and will cover what we know about the Parker Road widening and other important issues.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:16pm.
