VILLAGE CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
Minutes of the General Meeting held November 10, 2005
The meeting was called to order by President Craig Jacobs at 7:06 pm in the Building Inspection Conference Room, City Hall, Plano, Texas. There were 9 members in attendance and 1 guest.
The agenda was distributed, discussed and approved.
Vicki Verinder read the minutes of the last meeting, which were approved. She also gave the treasury report: the account balance is $605.69 and there was no activity.
Our new NPO, David Waddell, then spoke with the group and asked for feedback. David’s previous job was in drug enforcement. We discussed problems with unleashed dogs in the park and Frisbee players among other items with him.
We then discussed plans for 2006. Items included Parker Road widening, Central access road changes, and the Central-Parker interchange. Issues we want to pursue next year included:
Parks (signs, dogs, trash, etc.) (David will check on the parks occasionally for us.)
House numbers in alleys (use of John Peyton’s kids, possible grant from city)
Curb appeal projects and special yard plantings
Residential speed limit reduction to 25 mph
We then discussed our first quarter newsletter which will include an article about our new NPO. A preliminary calendar was presented:
