VILLAGE CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
Minutes of the General Meeting held February 14, 2008
The meeting was called to order by President Gene Verinder at 7:05 pm in the Building Inspection Conference Room, City Hall, Plano, Texas. There were 6 members in attendance.
The agenda reviewed and approved. The minutes of the last meeting were approved and the treasury report was read and approved. The treasury has $605.69.
Old Business: none
New Business:
No change in status about beautification of the Dart bus stop or accessing the meeting agendas of various city boards. The group tabled any action on looking into lowering the speed limit in the neighborhood.
Current projects:
Parker Road widening is in progress. For any traffic problem violations we should contact the police department. The alleys on the Village North side have been closed and trash must be put out front. There are some construction problems in the Wyatt North area which the city is addressing and the city is doing a survey covering this.
Parker Road/US75 Interchange is going to be done but will probably be delayed. The project manager is letting the contract in April and work should start soon after. He would come for a presentation probably best to ask him for June meeting.
James reported on some neighborhood issues including City of Plano websites for neighborhood forums and planning. The idea of one or more neighborhood group meetings was brought up.
Crime Watch: none given.
National Night out date has been changed in Texas; probably September or October. Motion made and approved to change our board election to the meeting the month following NNO.
Crime stats are on website and website work is going on.
Dates: Roundtable at Plano Centre on February 21st; Next meeting will be on March 13th (may be meeting with Traffic Advisory Committee during that time)
Meeting was adjourned at 7:53
Respectfully submitted,
Vicki Verinder, Secretary/Treasurer
