VILLAGE CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
Minutes of the General Meeting held July 10th, 2008
The meeting was called to order by President Gene Verinder at 7:05 pm in the Building Inspection Conference Room, City Hall, Plano, Texas. There were 6 members in attendance and a guest – Monique Coleman.
The agenda was reviewed and approved. The minutes of the last meeting were approved and the treasury report was read and approved. The treasury has $605.69.
Old Business: We discussed last month’s meeting.
New Business: Monique requested we make a small presentation to the Stratford Estates Neighborhood Association meeting on July 17th. They are formulating their by-laws and would like the input from other Associations. The meeting will be held at Haggard Library at 7:00 pm.
Current Projects: None in progress.
Future projects: National Night Out was discussed. It will be on 10/7 this year. We will have the donation letters ready for the next meeting and Gene is to contact the Crime Prevention Unit and invite them to our Shawnee Park party. We will use the September meeting for final planning. Monique will ask other Associations to visit ours if they are not having one of their own.
Committee Reports:
1) Parker Road Widening: no complaints were noted. The contractor seems to be doing a great job of trying to minimize the disruption to traffic.
2) Parker Road / US 75 Interchange Presentation: None discussed.
Officer Waddell said our neighborhood remains very crime free and he has had few complaints from residents.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:10 pm.
