VILLAGE CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
Minutes of the General Meeting held January 8th, 2009
The meeting was called to order by President Gene Verinder at 7:02 pm, conference room, 2600 K Ave., Plano, Texas. There were 5 members in attendance.
The agenda was reviewed and approved. The minutes of the last meeting were approved and the treasury report was read and approved. The treasury has $605.69.
Crime Watch: A problem with graffiti was brought up.
Old Business: We talked about our meeting location. Doug Jacobs will try to get us into Harrington Library for the next few months. We decided that the $60 to rent the conference room at City Hall (if we are the only ones meeting on that night) was too much. Our priority locations are: 1. City Hall if no fee, 2. Harrington Library and 3. 2600 K Ave.
New Business: We reviewed the questionnaire that Monique provided. The group would like to add several questions to the list that we felt would help the association in the neighborhood.
Current Projects: James Edwards suggested a bush trimming project that could be presented to the Rotary club.
Future projects: The group also discussed a summer project of painting house numbers in the alleys. Our district 1 roundtable will be coming up soon. There was a suggestion to approach the city about a dumpster day for the neighborhood as part of Keep Plano Beautiful Day.
Committee Reports:
1) Parker Road Widening: discussed.
2) Parker Road / US 75 Interchange: discussed.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:05 pm.
Respectively submitted,
Vicki Verinder, Secretary/Treasurer
