VILLAGE CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
Minutes of the General Meeting held January 12th, 2012
The meeting was called to order by President Gene Verinder at 7:10 pm, Collin Creek Church, Plano, Texas. We had 6 members and 1 guest.
The agenda was reviewed and approved. The treasury report was read and approved. The treasury has $90.33. A $3.00 service fee is being taken out of the account because the balance was below $300.00. Doug mentioned that if $300.00 could be secured and ear marked as a liability, we could avoid the fee. Monique said she will look into grants that we may be able to get.
Crime Watch: No discussion.
Old Business:
Premise ID (alley numbering): April 21 was chosen as a work day. Resources that might help included: George Elking (Rotary), Plano Fire Department (Monique to contact) and National Honor Society students (Victoria to contact).
Annual Planning Session – Dates of activities:
Thursday, March 8 – Meeting (changed from April 12 – get church’s OK)
Saturday, March 31 – Great American Cleanup
Thursday, July 12 – Meeting
Thursday, September 13 – Meeting
Tuesday, October 2 – National Night Out
Thursday, November 8 – Meeting (Elections)
Future Projects – We discussed the possibility of a fundraiser. Ideas presented were a car wash at Long John Silver’s and a raffle held at National Night Out to include donated items from Hewett-Packer, Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc. Victoria will look into this.
The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 8th, 2012 at Collin Creek Church when we will do planning for Great American Cleanup. Meeting was adjourned at 7:53pm.
